Discover the Albert Nile! The first opportunity within 40 years!

     The Nile…. Africa’s longest and most famous river, cradle of civilizations, the subject of endless exploration… where is its true source? Almost on every other trip we see a shoebill      From the vast wetland of the Sudd in Sudan, we trace the Nile’s origin into Uganda. Following upstream, we enter a truly spectacular and forgotten section of the Nile, the Albert Nile, named after Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert… Travelling against the slow current for 200 km, from the Sudan border southwards into Uganda, we pass remote fishing communities, forested wildlife reserves, lagoons and islands to arrive at Lake Albert, one of Africa’s deepest lakes.
     Here, we may turn eastwards into the Victoria Nile in Murchison Falls National Park, where, in the delta, we are You'll be amazed at the number of hippospresented with some of the most spectacular bird-watching anywhere in the world; Goliath herons, migrant and resident waders of every description, ducks, geese, and the iconic shoebill, and overhead are fish eagles, harriers and pratincoles. Travelling further upstream through the delta, we may camp amongst elephants, buffaloes and lions, as we make our way to the famous Murchison Falls.
     The Nile River Company has, for the first time in 40 years, opened up the full extent of the ‘Western-Uganda waterway’ for tourism. In our 16 metre boat, fully equipped with its own galley, toilet and shower, and with facilities for sleeping on board or camping on the shore, we take you on an exclusive tour along a stretch of the Nile that is truly remote… We invite you on our tours, that range from a short visit Enjoy watching elephants along the banks to the Victoria Nile Delta to view shoebills and elephants, to camping trips within Murchison Falls NP and to the full tour of 2-3 nights along the Albert Nile.
